We continue to hear complaints of the want of accommodations for sick soldiers at Camp Mangum, and of tho refusal to grant furloughs to sick soldiers. We hear that one regiment has on the sick list more than half its number. In some cases seven to eight men are crowded into one tent, one-half of these frequently being too sick to go on duty. We trust the Governor himself will take this matter in hand and see to it that better care is taken of those who are sick in camp, and that furloughs are granted in every case and granted promptly, where they can be granted without injury to the service. It is much better every way that the sick should be allowed to go or be carried home, where they will receive attentions which can not be bestowed on them in camp, and where they will much sooner recover their health. We repeat, what we said in a recent issue, that every kindness which is compatible with proper discipline should be shown to the brave men who have come forward to fight our battles.
