Motion Pictures of Little Traveled Land Are Seen
Great temples with roofs of solid gold, a huge lake of solid salt, weirdly impressive rituals of a barbaric religion, strange people and animals—these were some of the wonder of Tibet shown by motion pictures In the Italian room of The Olympic Hotel Tuesday night.
Gene Lamb, young American explorer recently returned from this Oriental land of mystery, gave a lecture as the pictures were being shown. He and his wife spent 16 months in journeying thru this well-nigh inaccessible land and getting the pictures. They are two of the dozen white people to penetrate these rocky fastnesses since the days of Marco Polo.
