Naval Deployments

Of the U. S. vessels of war, there is a respectable squadron in the Mediterranean under Com. Stewart—the frigate Congress, Capt. Henley, is probably at Canton—the frigate Macedonian, Capt. Downes, is in the Pacific Ocean—the frigate Constellation, Commodore Morris, is probably on her way to Rio Janeiro and La Plata—the corvette John Adams, Capt. Wadsworth, is supposed to be on the coast of Africa—and the Cyane is preparing for the same destination.
