In replying to a divorce action which his wife, Genevieve, has started, Burt M. Clements, an electrician, who formerly lived at 210 12th St., in an answer filed in circuit today, denies that he is addicted to intoxicating liquor and that he is given to carousing.
He states on his own behalf that Genevieve is very vain, tries to dress to attract other men, and is given to taking Turkish baths and other means to reduce.
He indicates that she has applied the reducing habits to his bankroll. When he got married he says he had $3,200, now he is minus $800. He claimed that his wife last Christmas exchanged presents with a strange man and one morning left the house and threw the wedding ring at him.
