May 25, 1862 – Guerrillas

Col. W. C. Clairborne of Virginia and V. H. Tolliferro of Atlanta, advertises in the papers of that city that they are raising a Battallion of “Partizan Rangers” under the direction of the Secretary of War.

Edward C. Anderson Jr., also says he wants to raise a troop of the same stripe of scamps, and offers twelve dollars bounty for volunteers.
