Volcano At Hilo Is Erupting, Numerous Tidal Waves Follow

HILO, T. H., April 12. (AP)—The volcano Loa began erupting and a flow of lava appeared to concentrate three miles to the southwest of the summit, terminating in one big fountain from which lava shot high in the air. Preceding the eruption several earthquakes rocked the islands of Hawaii, with tidal waves on the Eastern side and a four-foot tital [sic] wave here.
