New Structures Being Erected Gives Evidence of Prosperity Which Pervades Community.
For the first time in several years, there is considerable building going on in Gordon. On Main Street there is at present under construction the new Haller building and the brick filling station just northwest of the depot. The filling station north of Barten’s store is now almost finished as is also the ice storage plant just south of the power house by the Western Public Service Co. In addition to these several houses are receiving extensive repairs and there is talk of further construction. One of the largest of the buildings being planned is the one which Mr. John C. Jordan is planning on building just south of the Gordon Journal Building.
