LOS ANGELES, June 30—Edwin Ketcham, notorious bandit, escaped from a train that was taking him to Folsom penitentiary today, according to a telegram from G. C. Bladel, deputy sheriff in charge of the prisoner, to the sheriff’s office here.
The escape occurred while the train was waiting on Slater Sliding between Bakersfield and Delano, the wire stated. Further details were not given.
