NEW YORK—Romance has gone on a vacation from the love nest of Frances (Peaches) Browning, the “Cinderella girl,” and Edward W. Browning, her wealthy Prince Charming.
Peaches has gone with her mother to a secluded cottage in New Jersey.
Back to Hotel.
Browning bas gone back to his bachelor quarters in an exclusive hotel.
The apartment where the two have lived and within which they told everyone was an ideal domestic life, has been re-leased.
It was last Saturday that the rift in the romance became so wide that a “vacation” began.
Peaches, whose comings and goings had been always in the big blue automobile of expensive make, summoned a plebeian taxicab and in it she rode away.
Browning then drove away in the big blue automobile.
Rumors went around and today came confirmation.
Is Only Temporary.
“Our separation is only temporary,” was the statement which Browning authorized his secretary to issue for him. “Mrs. Browning is tired.”
After much search Peaches and her mother were found.
“The reason will live to come from Mr. Browning,” Peaches said, just a bit defiantly, when she confirmed that she was on a marriage vacation.
“And he will have to say for how long our separation will be.”
Mrs. Heenan, mother of Peaches, said she could “neither affirm or deny the reports of the separation.”
