The New Albany (Indiana) Ledger states that a rather laconic sword presentation took place at Camp Noble, a few days since. A member of the Sixty-sixth Regiment, purchased a sword for Captain Gerard, and Captain J. H. Fawset was deputed to present it. This the Captain did, as follows: “Here, John is a sword.” Captain Gerard took it and replied: “Thank you; I’ll see you again about it, after l have tried it.” The presentation and reply were both to the point.
